WebHostingBuzz takes being green and the environment very seriously. Unlike most of our competitors, we are green because we want to be and not because it looks good as a marketing tactic. It's often the little things that make a big difference and for a long time, we've recycled as much of our office waste as possible. We run energy efficient computers and monitors in the office and place even more concern on energy efficient servers. Reducing the amount of power we use as a company reduces our overall electricity intake, and helps reduce the burning of fossil fuels, the increase in CO2 output and all the negative climate changes associated with this.
On top of this, in 2007 we partnered with the International Tree Foundation. This is a charitable organization with locations around the world. They plant trees across the globe but specifically look for developing countries to plant the trees in. As anyone who has studied the carbon cycle will know, trees provide the invaluable balance by taking in carbon dioxide during photosynthesis and releasing oxygen. Without trees, the human race would not exist. By choosing to plant trees in the developing world, The International Tree Foundation creates sustainable jobs for locals. Often these locals have been victims of long civil wars, droughts and more often than not, severe poverty. Donations from companies like us allow the ITF to create jobs to help reduce the poverty. We are proud and very humbled to be able to contribute to such a worthwhile cause as this.
