One of the advantages with Twitter is that you can quickly delete a ‘tweet’ as soon as you post it. So if you start to have second thoughts about its contents, it’s not a major problem. That’s fine if you are the average man in the street followed by family and friends and the occasional international career spammer but if you’re a celebrity it may be too late.

With thousands upon thousands of followers hanging upon every one of your maximum 140 characters, then your words are very much in the public domain as soon as you hit the button. Here are ten tweets that celebrities will probably wish never happened.

Ke$ha

kesha

Ke$ha or @keshasuxx if you prefer once tweeted with the words ‘pee pee on the street. PoPo come n get me if u can find meee. I blame traffik.

Your worst fears on reading that are indeed confirmed as she was relieving herself by the side of a road. If you didn’t believe her, you even have picture evidence to back it up.

Lil Jon

Keeping the bodily function theme going, Musician, DJ and entrepreneur Lil Jon was also caught short while away from the necessary facilities.

Happily for his 500,000+ followers he has comfortable with keeping them informed with the message, ‘was rushing home to take a dump and got caught behind a school bus droppin kids off. Longest 30 mins of my lifffeee.

Chris Brown’s famous ‘Fake Tweet’

Sometimes those who ‘tweet’ can be innocent victims as seems to be the case of singer Chris Brown who had appeared to launch an extraordinary attack on Cher.

That damn GRANNY bitch CHER needs to keep her mouth SHUTTTT about her opinion against obama !!! smh she needs a beating‘ – so said the message.

Plenty there for Cher to get upset about but it was to transpire that Brown’s official account had been hacked by a notorious duplicating site.

Craig Kieswetter

Not the most obvious choice but England international cricketer Craig Kieswetter once tweeted a photograph of the dashboard of his car with the accompanying message that read ‘My view right now’.

No real problem there but the speedo was showing the Wicket Keeper travelling at an illegal 90 mph. After several messages enquiring as to whether he was trying to get himself arrested, the tweet was removed.

Joey Barton

Sportsmen give us so much ammunition that this whole piece could be devoted to their own misguided messages. Come to think of it, an entire article could be devoted to Queens Park Rangers midfielder Joey Barton who has what is known in the media as ‘a reputation’.

The hardest task here is deciding which Tweet to use – how about “I will gladly go to jail for a month, in the name of free speech. I have no problem with what I said. Make me a martyr.

Or perhaps “P.S. My final point, ur a s*** pundit/manager…” in response to criticism from Alan Shearer.

Tom Cruise

Daft celebrity tweets don’t have to be controversial – they can sometimes be meaningless like this once from Tom Cruise.

Wow, there are a lot of people with Bieber in their name. Someone should figure out how2 turn Justin Bieber backgrounds and names into energy’.

Jon Gosselin

Occasionally we get an insight into the lives of celebrities and we quickly realise that we really didn’t want to know what they get up to. Jon Gosselin was one of the first reality TV stars when the US hit show Jon & Kate plus eight let us in to the world of the Gosselins and their eight children.

With such an overwhelming large brood you may think that Jon had little time on his hands but it appears that this isn’t the case as this incredibly tedious tweet reveals.

This Farmville thing is so addicting and fun. And now you can get puppies! How fun!! Gotta love this stuff!!!!

The Kardashians

The family Kardashian was born for Twitter and Kim entertained us with her views on US Quiz Show Cash Cab which, to be fair to its producers, isn’t the most taxing of general knowledge programmes out there.

Watching Cash Cab and these questions are so hard’ Kim declared. Maybe she should enlist the help of her sister Kourtney who once asked on Twitter ‘Do Ants have Dicks?

Charlie Sheen

Charlie-Sheen-crazy-eyes

It’s probably fair to assume that the actor Charlie Sheen doesn’t regret too much in life and he is another celebrity to have a large back catalogue of eye-popping Twitter messages including the cryptic ‘I invented Tulsa OK… in my sleep

However, he probably wishes that he hadn’t tweeted his cell phone number in a conversation with Justin Bieber – the result? A crashed phone from a wealth of oncoming calls.

Ryan Seacrest

Host of American Idol, Seacrest made the ultimate error for a presenter when he gave away a ‘Spoiler’ – letting millions of viewers know who would be eliminated from the show that week.

An embarrassing slip or was it? The tweet encouraged readers to tune into his radio show which suddenly received a significant spike in listeners.

That concludes are list of embarrassing tweets. The various social media platforms are great for getting to know your favourite celebrities, but some definitely give away too much information!
